Repeat after me, it's just an egg.
its just an egg , its just an egg, it just an egg , its just an egg, its just an egg with sperm in it, its just an egg. its just an egg. Hatchet is EASY PEASY !! next time you get mad at your ol man or who ever it may be just grab the ax and replace the face. !!! works for me !

ROFL They are on pine shavings now and the floor you can see is wood. The cage of babies are in the house on a tarp. There is no bottom in it so I can't put legs on it.

When I asked about a draft in another post, I was talking about the door getting opened and closed as the kids go in and out. I don't use that room much so I don't use that door.

I went to the feed store this morning and saw all the poor unwanted roosters waiting in caged limbo for their fortunes to change. I sold a couple of cockerels that way, but it breaks my heart. Think my hatching days are over.

I'd rather eat them, but I'm too much of a wimp. Have to get some hatchet lessons from you, granny!

We bought it at Orshelin's, it's a feed/hardware store. We got it in July, I think. They were selling out of them and it was the last one, the floor display model.

Well, I could give him a good home if we lived closer together. LOL He sure sounds like a feisty little dude.

he is a really cool roo. non stop chatter. but no, i cant pass my birds around. in 2 weeks you would be ready to shoot me. LOL he has never been sick though. I wish i could find him a home. he was gave to me and took best in show at the 4-h. How many do you have ? do you know ? LOL

LOL I have been waiting for one of mine to be chatty. All they will do is murmur when I hold them, or if they don't want to be held, then they screech and squawk. Unless he has a horrendous voice, I don't think I would be threatening you. LOL I did have a hen that looked like a Dominic that would come to me to be held but she has grown up I guess, she doesn't mind me petting her but she doesn't want me picking her up. I have a brown girl that looks like the Dominic, I call her Brown Dominic and she comes running to me to be picked up and held or carried around. I love it, so I do it. LOL I hope I'm not setting a bad example for the other birds cause I am limited as to how many I can carry around. LOL

No, it's too hard to count them. I know I have 11 ducks, looks like only one of them is a drake but there are still 4 of them too young to tell. I have 11 geese and I counted 19 guineas last night but that doesn't mean they were all in the coop and I have some babies in the pen in the house. The rest are all chickens and all over the place. At night the little ones go under the coop because we haven't had room for all the chickens, guineas and ducks in the coop. When we get the addition done, I will have to teach the bigger birds to roost in there and then the little ones can go into the coop, hopefully they will want to.

I don't have a predator right now, knocking on wood but I know it won't be long before one finds us and the babies won't be safe under the coop.
