I have it in the water as well. do you mean a raw egg yolk? its beak is so tiny i am not sure i can do any thing with it . how long can i keep the yolk before it is bad ?

I think it is day 5? maybe 4, not sure. I have tried a scrambled egg. it just wont peck at anything. the consistency of the yogurt is easy to get down so i could get it to "drink" an egg yolk ?

Yes, 5th day now. I think it hatched on Monday (17th) later in the day, so it should be hungry by now. Disturbing that it is not pooping. Are you sure about that? Wish I had some ideas about what to do. Raw yolk might make a huge mess and stick its mouth together. Some powered chick food or boiled yolk, mixed with the vitamin water, a little bit on the end of a blunt toothpick, then when it opens up to cheep, stuff the food in? That's what I would try. Otherwise...

Would it be worth it to start a new thread about this in the emergencies forum? "Chick won't eat" might get more attention from people with experience.

come on little guy eat! Hope Eggcessive can help :fl I would still try making the chick feed so sloppy you can put a drop on the side if the beak.
