Oh, the usual... Just picking up some new birds that will soon be a third of my total flock. :lau

These are for the camp, and from a fellow BYCer. I don't have the coop of course, but they were too good to pass!

SO more info and pics when I pick them up tomorrow.

congrats    so much for down sizing    LMAO

sort of figured accusing you of being in the family way might get you to set the record straight.  :D

LOL. Well after DH got all excited learning about farms (he's the numbers/technical guy; takes him awhile to catch up to my big dreams) he moved the timeline up for the coop. And even if not, March isn't that far away.

He can have REAL cheese in moderation. Both dieticians told him to stay away from "processed" (fake) foods.

Yes he is going to have a hard time, but, he should have not been in denial about having diabetes for the LAST 5 YEARS......

A Dr. McGuiness didn't believe him when Mike told him the diabetes just pooped up. He called Dr Russell and found out he was diagnosed with diabetes 2009!!!!! I yelled at him for that too.

I think I am probably going to be yelling a LOT!

Going thru same thing with dh. Have to buy only what he can eat. Gs has frig and cabinet in his room for his snacks. Sharp cheese has less sugar. He needs the calcium but not the sugar in milk. Good luck. Everytime dh goes somewhere without me i find snack cake wrappers between car seats.

About the damage, how long have these boys been without a lady. If its been awhile they are going to be brutal in the beginning, especially if they find a favorite.

the roo's have been in gen pop  (large coop)  currently acting like a gang of teenage rapists.
Yes they can be brutal, 2 of mine crippled a small female. They went to freezer camp that day. Had to put the female down as well. She never even got to lay her first egg.

well you know  boys will be boys  no matter what age we are.
Its not just the boys, I'm going to go off on a tangent because diabetes kills, it is a silent killer for many years, so when the person finally starts having medical issues crop up, their diabetes has already did irreperable damage to many organs. I watched my dad kill himself over a 20 year period. The last 10 years the medical problems started showing themselves. His last 5 years on earth were a living h*ll for him. I never want to see that happen to anyone else I love.

But that's the real problem no real symptoms so unless you have lots of money for testing there's no real way to know. Thank God there is no history of that on either side of my family tree/stick/branch.
