Your husband sounds wonderful, but we all have our limitations, don't we?

I think rooster booster sounds like something men of a certain age would be paying big bucks to take. Wonder why he didn't want to try it.

My hubs is a prince and will do anything that needs doing- laundry, cooking, cleaning, dishes. He wasn't overly fond of changing diapers though, but that's long past now. We were both too beat by the end of the day to face scrubbing pots. I wouldn't have let him do it anyway because the poor guy is suffering from poison oak. He's got it all over, especially on his face. He didn't used to get it badly, but became super sensitized this fall. Between antihistamines and those Hylands homeopathic poison oak pills, he's keeping the swelling to a minimum, but still feels pretty crummy. Thank heavens for those pills!

Chickenlady, was looking at your pictures. what a beautiful place you have there ! was looking at the coop. very nice as well. What kind of rooster is the white one with the small comb? sooo pretty and BIG !  your ee chickens are nice as well.

He is a White Chantecler roo, they're a breed that originates out of Canada. Had a female to go with him, but late spring I had 3 roos all trying to breed her at the same time & injured her. Ollie is such a nice rooster. He is big but not a mean bone in him.

there comes a time in life when no matter how much rooster booster they have , it just dont matter. LOL Poor guy, give him a bath in baking soda. well, I am sure he can take his own bath. Reminds me of a joke that i am sure i cant tell on here but it involved cheetos and drs. and orange body parts.

I must of asked about him before because the name sounds familiar. Also had an aunt with the same name.

Granny I have to wonder if your chickens are drinking the Denagard from what I read people seem to really like how much it helps their chickens. Maybe you should ask in a thread what people use to sweeten it with. I thought someone said kayo syrup worked well but it's been a long time since I was reading about it. Just a thought. Hope your new eggs do well! Very exciting! Maybe weighing more is a good sign!
Not looking forward to hauling water out to the chickens again this morning I'm ready for it to warm up! But it can snow in the mountians.

Last time they didnt drink it. they worked together to dig a big hole in the run and it was raining so they could drink poo water instead of that stuff. I added 4 bags or so of shavings and they still did it. this clay soil is rotten. this time they had too but it rained last night. their run is covered but that dont matter. I might have some karo I will look. I thought it was molasses but believe you are right. I keep waiting for the turner to get somewhat level so i can turn it off and get them in there.

yes, I could of kept them in the coop. just didnt occur to me to do that. LOL . they are done for this month anyway. hope i remember that for next time.
