The polish has a big hump on her beak from crusty nasal discharge.

The EE with bubbles looks better today. Does the CRD go away on its own? Last year the SS got bubbles when they had pox.

Camping, I hope your chickens get better.

Twist, Keep plugging away. I'm proud of you. You're amazing!

DH surprised me with a Shawn the Sheep dvd. I love those things and all the Wallace & Grommet dvds. Oh yeah, can't forget Chicken Run. Lol

Ugh, I've got to come here to keep myself from getting in trouble on Facebook. A lady posted looking for advice, saying she was having a great hatch. At noon she unloaded 20 chicks from the bator and put them in the brooder. By 6 pm they were all dead.

These are pics of her brooder:

And most of the people are telling her that the chicks died because they were TOO COLD. And I said that's impossible. She's brooding them INSIDE her house. She used a 60-watt appliance bulb and they keep saying that won't put off heat, but that's what an easy bake oven uses to COOK food. Even Christmas lights put off heat. Anyway, with that lamp on and the lid closed, plus being crowded with 20 babies, there's no way they didn't cook. If it was cold, after six hours a few would still been alive I think. "Cold" meaning around 70 degrees.

wonder if she bothered to dip their little beaks in the water ?? Way to small for 20 chicks.

Wishing your up to 18 votes.
