What are pearl leghorns? Forgot my BSL are BO over BR so should be calmer than hatchery BSLs.
Just the white leghorns, smallish size, great large to extra large eggs layed daily. Lost my only one I had to a bobcat this summer. She was going on 3 and was still laying 5-6 eggs a week. Loved her, sure hope these new ones will be as good as she was.

FUZZY BUTTS :celebrate :celebrate :weee

How do you like the egg glow??
I love it, it is the best purchase I have ever made. Because it only heats when a chick is under it, it is more efficient & you don't have to worry about the heat lamps burning your coop down. The ambient air temp needs to be at least 50 degrees, but thats it, the EcoGlow does the rest. Chicks seem to be healthier because they aren't always cooking under a heat lamp. I have found that my chicks always acclimate to colder tempatures easier & that they feather out earlier. If you raise lots of chicks & can afford one (they are a little pricey) I would highly recommend getting one. I love mine.

black aust, pullets and roos
