wine-o-clock, sounds like a plan to me !!! i miss those days when the kids were stumbling all over the place sticking their hands in places they didnt belong, getting their hands all colorful from the dew laden eggs. and the after we had ate enough egg salad to last a life time tossing the eggs in a game of chance. good times. never liked boiled eggs im afraid. never tried them pickled though.

I actually really like hard boiled eggs now. I almost crave them since I had some from a friend's farm. I had actually stopped buying/eating eggs really, until I got some farm fresh eggs. My chooks won't be laying for at least 2.5 months (one of them MAY lay that early, if we're fortunate) so...back to the farm I go to buy more eggs.

Those were the days...now they don't hide real eggs, they hide those plastic things. My Grandma would hide boiled eggs that weren't even colored, but we didn't care. It was the just the thrill of trying to find those eggs that excited us. Things were simple and good.

I love boiled eggs...eat two every morning.

got another Easter surprise today. found my white silkie hen dead in a dog igloo i cant reach. had a time getting her out. ended up with the pitch fork. (its behind a ladder) when i get some help, the whole thing is coming out of there. on a good note i cooked some bbq ribs and lobster tails my sis brought from Fl. for dinner today. mom ate good.

Granny, stopped by to check on you and your mom. Sounds like you have had more adventurous hunt (100+ eggs and a dead chicken) than most have this Easter weekend. You sure do tell it like no one else!

Sending best thoughts your way.

thank you katbriar, i just call it like i see it.

Sub, i dont know for sure but she was very poor, i think i mentioned her before and i got the wazine. unfortunately it was too late. she was but bone, no meat at all. she ate ok though and they had been wormed before but it was with ivermectin. i just cant remember how old she was. i am thinking i bought her grown about a yr. or so ago. i also give them pumpkin every yr. i dont think thats been proven as a wormer but they like it. i am going to guess it was age related.
