Haha, same. I'm pretty famous for my mashed potatoes. Garlic and parsley, milk and REAL BUTTER. I drew a crowd this morning because they could smell it outside the building.

Nope. I don't use a masher either. A fork or a slotted spoon and just stir. If using whole blocks of butter then I'll quarter it, bury it in potatoes, and let it sit a little while. I add butter first, then seasonings, and milk last.

Would there be a chance if I took the eggs a put them under a heat lamp with a bowl if water then a strainer with the eggs in it.?

Don't be upset. You don't know that she ate live chicks. That could've happened days ago, right? If they stopped developing she may have gotten rid of them.

I know it's hard. I was helping chicks hatch and went back later and she'd stomped them. I was furious. But it was a "staggered" hatch and when the next ones came out, she did fine. Even adopted chicks from the other broody who just kept setting (on dud eggs).

Red the eggs might have been DUD"S or maybe she heard "pipping" and tried to help and then go a little carried away. Not unlike some people who incubate
