Well the birds I own and the mixes I will be hatching will be in the dual purpose variety.. White Giant Jerseys, New Hamphshires, Delawares and Austrolorps.... I think If I only brood them for a few weeks I will be okay with handing them over. Though, I still want to learn how to do it properly. I just dont know if I have the cahoonas to do it myself.

YouTube has some great videos on this subject. Don't be scared. Gotta learn somehow.

You have to be in the mood to clean chickens. I do. like when your peed at the ol man or hot flashes ,whatever. next time your in a mood have planned which one is going and have your hatchet ready. First one is hard but it dont take long to get better and then after a couple post of chicken dumplings and you get a taste for it. It gets easy to get mad . hahaa That chicken just give me the stink eye ? In the pot !
