I don't know if I could wrangle it right now with my shoulder the way it is.

We have Grants tree farm and syrup mill near here. Maybe we'll take the kids. We're leaving Dec. 18th, so not a lot of time to enjoy the tree. But DD really loves coloring and cutting out decorations, so I think they'd make a nice one.
Draw or paint a big tree on a piece of butcher paper or cardboard, hang it on the wall, and add bows and pine cones and all of the decorations your little cuties make. Fun for them. less work for you, 'cause you gotta have a tree of some sort!

I'm back!! Cold, wet and muddy

My prediction was right, he was at the gate waiting for me!!

Poor soggy Harry. Did his friend get to go inside too?

Love all your new avatars... makes me think I should change mine, too!

I didnt have many, they werent hard to follow, I thought every one enjoyed them. seems they only enjoy being waited on. they could care less about anything except food and gift and that is soo wrong.

Would like to drop them off at food bank or soup line for Christmas.
My kids said they didn't want anything this year.

I know they will be disappointed if they don't get a little something to open, so I am working on that. I've been trying to get them to think about what to GIVE to others. That seems a bit harder. Both of them are artistic. I want them to make drawings for their grandparents, but I don't want to FORCE them. Does giving them a huge GUILT TRIP count as force?

I cannot show this to the older son, or I will be hearing that voice for months!

Yup, we only got 2½ channels. The half was very snowy! You're right about them not having these things to look forward to. There are lots of choices now, but it's harder to make something special.

Red, here is a picture of my great niece

Your welcome honey, just don't forget to turn those darn ads off. Your not going to know how to act without them slowing everything down :hugs
Congrats Lisa and Danna!! That was going to be my plan if I had won. :) :highfive:
I love Grinch. The original. Not a lot of kids programming on tv when I was little, and Grinch, along with Charlie Brown and Rudolph were not to be missed. It was part of the tradition. I know most of Grinch by heart. Wouldn't have been Christmas without them. Horton 1954 Grinch 1957
Those were a must for me as a kid. I remember when we had three whole channels I think. We'd get a coupe of hours of cartoons on Saturday morning. That's the only time I'd be inside sometimes. Kids don't have much to look forward to now with cartoons on 24/7

With all you do for the holidays and caring for the grandbaby, you should have a lazy day or two. Seems to me you are not the lazy type, though, so it probably takes some effort on your part, which defeats the purpose!

Well, I told my dad I'd go up to his place for a little cyber shopping. Don't know If I'm going to get anything. Window shopping on the computer... Screen shopping? See you all later.
