Oh no on your iPad Camping!! I'm sure if it's just the screen it could be fixed.
I don't how ours have lasted either. Hit the deck a few times like the phones.
HI YORK!!! Saw Harry in the pasture with his rug! Such a nice looking horse! I have no pasture here.

My ponies wear blankets at night. Leo, the horse that had surgery last Feb colicked again last week. He doesn't drink enough when it gets cold. Hooow do you ever ride in that blustery weather? AND...BTW...where is your picture???

All the squash is sitting heavy on my belly. :(

Squashed it? A for health food effort, but :sick ! So' better more fun plan for Christmas? I humbly disagree with not standing up for yourself against your parents or inlaws. IMO, If they say inciteful things or do hateful things, you should call them to the carpet. Your DH and your children and ya'lls happiness are the most important. Just sayin. I would refuse to be manipulated. :hugs

It's not that I don't want to, I just can't figure out the most tactful way to do it. I can't fight fire with fire. The few times that they've said something directly to me, I've just stopped talking and eventually they apologized. One time I told my mom she was being unreasonable.

But where's the line between "that's the only mom you have" and "don't take nothing from nobody." I haven't figured that out yet.

And I have a tendency to hope for the best, even from the worst people, regardless of how many times they've been awful. I always think that the next time will be different. It's a difficult trait, but sometimes pays off.

Christmas will be nice, if a little hectic. Lots of celebrations in small, hot houses. After the first week in my introvert defense mechanisms kick in and I get drowsy everywhere we go. ;) But the folks are super nice and I love visiting. DH is his best self around his family. It's sweet and heartbreaking. There are also badly behaved dogs every single place we go, and that stresses me out.

Anyway, it's good. I like the drive, and the homes, and the family, and a little of the food. Not as much fun as ours, but still pretty delicious.

Thanks Mutt! Harry is rugged up all the time, barring summer and then he has a fly rug on too. Has the occasional day out naked. Just too soft with him. When he gets cold the weight just falls off him though. Not spending £50 a month on feed for nothing.

Hope Leo is OK after his bout of colic last week :fl
Scary stuff that especially when they have had the surgery.

We tend not ride when it's raining but he's good in the wind. We have 2 areans to ride in at the farm if we can't get out in the road. Plus a horse walker and a round pen for exercising in.

Not done a pic yet :hide
Will def try and get a good one this week.

Don't fight fire with fire. Fight fire with I don't accept your behavior, I won't accept that in my relationships and refuse to accept or condone it. My mother is the master manipulator. Always kept the family in an uproar, poor pitiful her, snarky comments, I never fought with her, just called BS on her and told her that I wouldn't allow her to speak poorly to me about any family. Voila! She shut up and found someone else to Biach to.

Awe...you're not soft! Even here I up the corn and blanket in the winter! It's hard to keep weight on if they shiver it off. We've been heating Leo's water and wetting his hay. That's soft! It's hard for them with no pasture. I have a round pen only. I think if I rode him, he'd be better.

That sounds fun! Badly behaved dogs, not as well behaved as yours and food that is good but not as good as yours? Perfect!

Good idea on warning his water. Does it work? Wetting everything is the way to go with getting water into them. Since harrys last bout of choke he's still on soaked hay and feed that's like soup!! I have noticed he's not drinking as much water with all the extra soaked stuff he's getting. Watching him eat is still awful as I just keep thinking he's going to choke choke choke!!

When was the last time you rode him?

Since my buddies all moved away and I got busy, It's been 3 years since I rode him. I used to ride out of the house, meet up with friends. Now I'd have to arrange a meet-up and trailer, and that is such a hassle.
