WooHoo -- I'm online!!!! Apparently the modem we had (issued by phone company) crapped out on us, so they replaced it and, what do you know, internet! We're just biding our time at this point on DSL as they have been working all summer to get our area upgraded to fiber optic which DH just "has" to have, so as soon as they get it all finished up on the change over we'll be switching anyway, which means yet another new box being installed............I don't even care, I'd get by on dial-up if need be, but I'm not a big gamer or anything that requires a lot of speed.....
Now, off to try in vain to get caught up around here........

they are upgrading here to fiber optic

-- that's the closest thing I could find to someone giving you a lecture -- sooner you get those papers in the sooner they can get them processed! I know our girls are running like 3+ weeks on turn around right now for apps.

I am really struggling right now with the fact that I left the program - I think it's the time of year..........feel like I abandoned the clients, some of whom I have "known" for 8 years and who are now dealing with a whole new crew of people in our office who don't know them/they don't know (for a lot of them that is important) -- I have been worrying about this or that one (my favorites). I think the thing that really set it off was finding out that one of my all-time favorite clients had passed away..........that got me to thinking about all my special folks -- doesn't help that its felt like a long, and totally unappreciated couple of weeks in the fiscal office, lol.

Danna, I've never taken Scooter to a groomer. So far I have been clipping him myself... with scissors! Poor guy looks like he got caught up under the lawnmower when I get done with him!

He is ridiculously strong for such a small dog. Hard on my back, especially when trying to bathe him. Maybe I will give myself a gift this year and take him to a professional. They charge $50 around here, though, so it will be a challenge for me to actually go through with it.

No mom! Not the scissors!

i use to trim my poodle but that was years ago and she was good.spud wiggles alot.he doesnt have really thick hair but i think i could do it..cost me 40.00 to get him groomed.

it was.i'm thinking about doing it myself from now on

You can get a good set of clippers fairly cheap. I have a set of Oster that I use for horse, dog and human grooming -- when you consider that in just a couple of trims they pay for themselves in what you'd have paid the groomer *and* the convenience of being able to do it whenever you feel like doing it they are well worth it. I would definitely pick up an extra set of blades so if/when you have to sharpen one set you aren't left without working clippers. It can take a few attempts to get the hang of using them, but once you have it down it's super easy.

Sorry, it pizzes me off to see sons and daughters be completely irresponsible with their lives and dump their poor choices back on their parents.

This is all wrong! Your children should care for you in old age. However bad it gets for them due to their pizz poor choices, they should own it and suffer the consequences. No bail out from me. Not a stinking dime! DPS, CPS can handle it. I will not enable dysfunction.

Ya'll are gonna hate me for posting this, but it's my truth. I had so say it. IMO, children should be raised to be self sufficient, suffer the hard knocks and figure out how to survive.
