Same here Granny. If a hen prolapsed once, it will probably happen again. I cannot stand to see an animal suffer.
I have several that did it once and never again. A few took weeks of being in a dimly lit room on a crash diet, but they did get better.

and then as you gain weight you can tell your friend's  how large you flower garden is growing.  Maybe even as if they would like to work in your garden.

Well down to 2 pups.  and up to puppy-com stage 5 on the pen.  little "darlings" using their water dish to get the boost they need to help get their front legs over the rail and pull themselves up and over.   Moved the water dish to the middle of the pen.  Now that there are just 2 the new placement should work.

You all heard about the man running down the hallway at the clinic naked  from the  waist down  being chased by a nurse with hearing aids and a pair of sizzers (sizzors/sissors) in one hand  The nurse was being chased by a doctor  yelling   NO NURSE  STOP!!!   I said SLIP OF his Spectacles

on THAT note I shall slink on out of here.

Good night all sweet dreams and Warm Fuzzies
Oh twisted you are too funny, I now know how you came up with your name, lol.

omg Scott, you are terrible !:gig  did the woman from Ohio come to get a puppy? time to start house training. can they even go outside in your temps? it was in the 60s here yesterday and 50s today. beautiful but it will be short lived. I dont know about the flowers growing but i have heard as they shrink away they look better then before. I guess the color concentrates. I know the one i got on my leg is somehow slipping down to my ankle . looking like a pr. of mamas stockings. hahaaa Kidding thats probably the only body part that hasnt fell down. I was very depressed at one point in my life and I told someone i would shoot myself in the heart but i didnt know where it was. he said its right below your left breast and that, my friends is why i have knee problems to this day.   Morning all
Lol you are WAY TOO FUNNY granny. You guys start my day & end it, your way better than antidepressants. : )

they have 6 beautiful little boys and they are homeless. this i knew when they came. they have their taxes and have money to get a place but no idea how to find one. and without work no way of keeping one. We are hoping for something cheap enough so that when their are no tattoos coming in they can still make the rent. he has been out every day looking and traveled a bit as well. so far the best thing we see would be his own shop with bedrooms. LOL

Well now I go through a similar situation with someone in my family. Learning to put some by for the lean times makes no sense to them. What they get they spend. Makes me mad as heck. He works seasonally. Construction in this area is what it is. I can't get them to move south where construction can be done year round.

IMO, if one is not going to be bringing in an income steady then someone has to find a steady job to carry them through the lean times. As with everything diversification is key.

I had a doctor tell me his son was a Poet in NYC. I said as long as he can live within whatever means that provides it's okay. Fact is many have these dreams or careers that won't support themselves nor their family. The kids come first before their dream imo.

Straight up? If these two can not support themselves and their kids on Tattooing or whatever it is, then they need to move on to a career where they can support themselves and the kids. Take whatever work they can get. Maybe do Ink part time. Maybe get some advice on how to make the dream work.

I'm reading a book on homesteading and they found like all that you have to have some other source of income other than the homestead. The wife in this case went back to school and became a doctor.

Trust me when I say, I was homeless once and when I did get a job I took what I could get to keep a roof over my head and food in my stomach. I was single then, so I don't envy you and your situation. I don't miss those days for sure.

Fortunately for them, we live in a different times. There was a time when folks couldn't support their kids the authorities came in and took them away. I worked with a man this happened too. He and his sister grew up in a home for just such kids.

I recently saw on CBS this morning about a guy who Inked the stars, but he didn't have six kids to feed. For every success story there are many more that were not. I don't know what the average income situation is for someone who tattoos. I don't believe he was rich either.

They may very well have to move to where a bigger market for such thing is. To a place that there is a bigger demand for inking.

I have chickens and some folks sell chicks and eggs for quite a bit, but the market where I live is not good at all. It's flooded with BYC'er and those who sell eggs and chicks. The supply has exceeded the demand. Point being I end up giving chicks away. Even the feed stores are taking a loss on chicks. To many hatcheries too.

I gave DW a sign to put up in her cubicle "Behind every successful Rancher, Is a wife who works in Town" .

I wish you many blessings, you're going to need them.

Lord help our kids to wise up before it kills us. Amen

Animal ? I was thinking more of myself. I couldnt push that thing back up there ! thats terrible of me but i would cull before i even attempted it and i would hope someone would do the same for me. It takes a special breed of people to be able to handle things like that. I aint one of them. It calls for a nurse Lularat !! hahaaa Kathy , You are way stronger then i am. do you remember the first time you did it? I can operate one the eyeball but not the other end, not something like that ! seen dr. Pol do that to a cow and it gave me nightmares.

beautifully said Rancher. I too have touched on this subject with them . there are other factors at play here that prevents him from a 9-5 . they need to stand up and face the music so they can get on with their lives. these 6 boys are not the only ones he has. no hopes of a drivers licence . a few things. sad thing is , he was but a child himself living on the street since he was 14 yrs.

sounds to me like maybe some birth control or the snip for him might be the best thing. And I am a catholic suggesting this. Just my 2 cents. The Ohio pup is still her they are coming up around the 16 of feb or so. No way I can try to housebreak to pups at one time. Do have a pet door. Was 60 here yesterday and supposed to be in the 50's today hope so as we had freezing rain over night. Sherrif's office advising no travel in Dickinson. No that, that stopped me from going to mass this am. Almost ended up on my bottom but through my exceptional agility and sense of balance just did a couple break dance moves and made it into church safe.

My nephew did take a header going out the house. Doors on truck frozen shut so took the truck in the garage. He has a lump on his elbow and claims his bum hurts. There are a few branches down from the ice buildup. Waiting for it to be safe to haul/carry/move a chop saw over to room we are working on so we can get the trim up in bathroom and have him paint it. Pups got a raw hide chip last night, they liked very much and were fighting over it so got them another one, so they could each have their own. NOPE they both wanted the same one. The liver one is over a pound heavier then Beth but Beth wins all fights when she gets mad sounds like as industrial chipper shredder in the pen. They are sleeping right now after "parting" most of the night.

Here's a new one for the motel. Had a guest (here 2 nights) ride up in a "friends?" car and get out he had all of the motel bedding (including pillows.blankets) wrapped in the sheets like a hobo pack took it out of the car and went back into the room with this and a wooden handle sticking out of the "package" looked like an axe or sledgehammer handle. Ranks right up their with the guy would left his inflaitable doll in the bed. UFFDA some peoples kids.

Well I am off in more ways then one. TTFN
