No, chewed hubby out over the weekend about not wanting to spend money we don't have for a new one & wouldn't he please get the manual out & see if he could order the part & fix it. So far the manual sits on the table next to his lounge chair. I can still use it, just nothing bakes like it should. No cookies coming out of this kitchen this yearLol, guess I got lucky again. I take my sugar cookie recipe

NO BROWN ALLOWED ON ANY SUGAR COOKIE ~ THATS A BIG BOO-BOONorwegian Cookies
1 cup butter
1 cup powered sugar
cream the above
add I beaten egg and 2 tsp of vanilla
sift together
2 cups sifted AP flour
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp baking SODA
put thru cookie press or roll in a ball and press with a fork dipped in old water OR roll ball in white sugar press Lightly with a cut glass.glass that will leave a bit of an impression
Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 min
Should NOT bake brown
I will have to try that! It looks like yours rise a bit more. Mine have no leavening in them. Baking soda plus cream of tarter equals baking powder.Norwegian Cookies
