Yes. 8 kids + us.

1 kid with allergies. I washed everyone's pillows, bedclothes, rug and curtains because they all went into each other's (& shared bedrooms).Plus the towels and dirty clothes.

I did that every week for years in addition to daily mopping. It might not have been perfectly clean but with all the bleach it was at least sterile.

Why once a week when the allergist said every 10 days? Cause my brain was oatmeal after dealing with teens down to 3-year-olds and I could remember every Saturday easier than trying to keep track of 10 days. I don't think the towels would hold out that long either.

We bought everything in the big cans, I baked bread and gardened and canned. DH hollered line up at meal time and we dished it up into those plastic sectioned trays. They thought it was cool to eat like their uncle in prison. Lol

I miss the good old days. Sob. They grow up so fast.
that is us newfie!!!

but when we were both working we splurged on paper plates and plastic disposable cups.........

I put my foot down, on plastic forks tho. Man has got to eat with a real fork....lol

Our well is busted. The whole camp's on city water. You should see the meter spin when we're filling up the pool.

Next time before you fill the pool, call the water company and tell them how many gallons. You should get a reduced rate for it.

That's what keeps the floor tiles from sticking your feet in one place. It is considered inhumane to animals or kids.

Depending on the cause of the need for mopping, you can use the one who made the mess in the first place. lol

A clean floor is an empty canvas for me kids.
my wife gets aggravated with clutter.

I reassure her, clutter is understandable with 8 kids. Dirt, no.........but clutter, yes.

she can walk thru and pick up the living room, and then go pick up in the dining room, and walk back into the living room, and there will be toys out again........many times the same ones she just put up.
