Hi Jane .

York, I never knew you had to clip a horse  . brush yes and I would guess the mane and tail.

Yes I get the coat off otherwise when you ride they get sweaty then take forever to cool down. Clipped you can just chuck the rug straight back on, plus makes brushing/ grooming so much easier. Does not take too long with these beasties ~

Thank you dear Sally. He's sleeping tonight like he's run the Iditarod all by his lonesome... and won! It was a huge fox tail stuck in the conjuctiva on the side, no damage to his eye at all, thank goodness. Just damage to my wallet.

Hi Wishjng, scooter is so cute. Hope he gets all healed up soon. Those darn little dogs, mine had to be sedated as well to do any of that. Just back on from being MIA for the weekend. Its amazing how much you miss everyone when your not on for a couple of days. Super excited your getting rain, sure wish I could send you ours for now as well, Lol.

Thank you Lisa! Yes, darn little LONG HAIRED dog. First and last one ever for me. Vet says he will be fine. Just needs ointment in the eye 3 x a day for 5 days. He said fox tail in the eye is rare for a dog, especially this time of year. I feel so bad. It must have been in there a few days at least.

On the bright side, he has clean shiny teeth and a lovely pedicure!

And the rain is great! The creeks are running!! Still raining too!

Tonight is very windy, though, so if I disappear it may be from power outage.

I just doubled checked . Im sorry but I didnt get it. I got Lisa, Wishing, Red , papa, Lindalouly .. I also got one from a sister, moms life long friend that I still havent told she has passed. . Thats the most cards I have ever gotten in my life in one yr. LOL Last yr. I got one, from the funeral home.

You think maybe all these things are related?

Took me a long time to get used to my mom not being here. Still get sad, especially this time of year, and it's been 9 years now. Hard to believe, seems like yesterday. We were really close.

I got Wishings and Chickens today! I can't tell you how much they mean to me. Thank you all that sent me cards. It means more than you could possibly know!

the mail man probably had my card to granny the day he caught her with her hands in hubbys pants and he dropped it..

And most postmen worry about dogs! Scarred for life!

Wishing said her dog's eye was matted together.today spuds was too.i took a cotton ball with warm water and cleaned it good then washed it out with tears.it looks ok but if it does that again i will take him to the vet.I have ornamental grass that is seeding he runs thru it and gets them everywhere,i bet he got one in his eye.

Poor Spud. At least he let you clean his eye. Thought Scooter would break something trying to get away. Seeing that the fox tail is ¾ inch, I can't blame him for fussing. Yes, the vet saved it for me in a little vial, help justify the bill I guess! Hope it's nothing, but don't wait too long if you think Spud needs checking. Vet will close up for Christmas.
