Just popping in to wish everyone a VERY Merry Christmas today - hope to pop back on later, but Christmas dinner prep is calling my name, sigh...........

Every year there are small children that have died because people shoot guns in the air and bullets fall down and hit them in the head. Why?

My first DH used to shoot up a stump in the backyard on holidays. Didn't have to worry about hurting anybody since it was a huge stump. He uses a shotgun. lol

my serious thoughts for you all today........ Today is the day that wrecks my heart the most, tragedy and heartache keep pushing into my head and then into my heart. Christmas can suck for many of us for one reason or another, but we still must carry on. My ability to erase all that and make it my own decision to be happy this day is one I am very thankful for. You my friends, are a wonderful help with that, and I thank you so much for it! :hugs I pray everyone has an enjoyable day and has the ability to put a genuine smile on their face. So the motto for the day is....... "unless you puke, faint or die......KEEP GOING!"

Ah Sweet Sally, I don't know where your pain comes from but my heart goes out to you. :hugs

I will read up tomorrow... Just wanted to share with you all what a blessed day it was... Had my folks kids nieces nephews and siblings all together smiling and laughing and enjoying Es each other. This is long in coming.. We had a tough year with sickness and loss of a loved one... Lost jobs.. Financial heart ache and the stresses each of us carried was close to bringing us to the brink of hate... But we did what family does. We pullled together. We talked we asked forgiveness and forgave we hugged we laughed we cried tears of joy and picked up our traditions and smiled upon our next generation. I am feeling blessed. I can honestly say I love my family. Thanks for listening.
Merry Christmas Linda
I love you all! Thank you all for being my friends and family! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
merry Christmas tippy.
Hello all. Got back from Midnight mass and visited a little and then caught up on the thread. it's 2:15 am here. Dinner what a HUGE success and everyone just enjoyed each other and the gifts. It honestly was one of the most enjoyable Christmas Eve's I have had in a long time. I do have pics of the table mostly ready for the food and some of the nativity set my mother made. Will try to post them well I guess today sometime. Sweet Dreams Warm Fuzzies and Prayers for All............. May you all have a GRAT DAY
Merry Christmas twist.
Merry Christmas I hope everyone has a great day today and all the tomorrows. I had a nice day. good food , great company. Love them kids. they are brats. LOL I see myself in one of them. I see my DD my SIL, even my nephew . Its odd how that happens. GS and nephew are a lot a like but never been together. I guess our blood runs strong. I had SIL take the tree out yesterday. I want to put it in the coop . Does anyone know if thats a problem ? My roo with the broken leg seems to be a little better maybe . He is sitting still but in a more natural position. Its going to be hard to reintroduce him back to the coop as I have 2 other roos in there and he is bottom . His poop is still green but it is formed like it should be. There is a tall ladder now leading to the rafters so I hope this dont happen again. Not really sure what else I could do to make it safe. Lily took off yesterday and was gone for a very long time. I could hear barking behind me so I gathered eggs for the neighbors and SIL drove me back there. Lily seen me and went flying to the house . We knocked on doors and came to realize I was the ONLY person home around here. It was an odd feeling. I kinda wanted to run around outside nude . LOL The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. I didnt of course and never will because my son is here but I sure thought it . LOL Anyway, I get home and no Lily. she didnt come back til dark last night. Thats not like her at all. It wasnt the kids being here because she loves them. I hope she didnt hurt anyones live stock. I guess she was just enjoying the sunshine too. It was mid 60s and today as well. I havent had a Christmas like this since I lived in Fl. I am still fighting dehydration . It is better but not good by a long shot. Small headache now, nothing major . The cramps are here now. I am forcing water. DD cleaned house and cooked while I put sin LOL (sil) to work on that ladder. I think it is going to be a long boring day for me. oh ya, their van is not fixed but he can drive it. Its right back to its original problem . I can almost hear the Christmas wrapping paper being ripped to shreds this am from all the children around the world . hahaa It sounds nice.
Merry Christmas granny

. I just think the movie stinks. I have had better Christmas days, but I was a niave child then.

This Christmas has turned out a lot better than I thought it would.

I am at the laundromat right now, going home to fix ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, fried apples and cranberries for dinner. Mike has his appetite back!!
