Sorry to interject. would you all pray for Callie kitty to cross peacefully to the rainbow bridge soon? I know it sounds awful, but she needs to let go. I have decided I don't want to put her in the carrier and take her to the vet to be put down. She would howl all the way and be scared. I don't think that is the right way for me to end her life. She doesn't seem to be in pain or I would. She is peeing in my bed and it is making it extremely difficult to show her love and kindness on her last days. I woke up last night to adjust the TV and felt wetness. She peed on the remote! I want her to exit as peacefully as possible. But I can't hold it together much longer... I am a bad person.

do you have or can you get some benadryl ? It the kindest thing right now. I will get her out of pain and let her pass in her sleep.

I was so hoping I would come home from work today and find her gone! I am bad. She tottered out to me. She used to weigh about 15 pounds. She weighs about 7 now. She is 16 years old. She needs to lay down and sleep. I am just trying to do my best.

The vet would give her benadryl for pain in a shot , you can do it by mouth. she probably needed antibiotics for the bladder infection but it sounds like it has gone too far. Cats hide their pain very well. It might send her over with one tablet or just relax her. Give her one, wait an hr. and if you want to help her give her a couple more.

It's not a bladder infection, her kidneys are failing. She is old

I wasn't joking about the preemie diapers. Cut a hole for her tail and use a bit of duct tape to form fit it to her so it will be more comfortable. Then she can be near you.
