I'm trying to envision the anatomy of a chicken now when I cook them...
But could the joint in the thigh with the cartlege pieces have popped out or been injured... Did he jump from a high place? Might be worth a try...

I'm sure it does, but probably like when a person dislocates the shoulder, elbow or knee. Until it is back in place it is painful & very painful to put back in place.Have you tried gently tugging that leg to see if it is a slipped tendon that might pop in. Never had one, so just guessing here. Really sad that you beautiful boy hurt himself.
I moved the whole leg very slightly and it hurt him.
Hog do stink, but nothing should be left in the pen for them to tear up.

Feed them in a feed pan and remove when done.
That's what I'm wondering, did he fly down from the loft & injure the tendon?I'm trying to envision the anatomy of a chicken now when I cook them...

I think they have cut pieces of plexi at lowes tooGranny go to the dollar store & buy a cheap frame. It would be much easier to used a pre-cut piece of glass then trying to cut plexi glass yourself.
I put them on something cold and they are froze in place or perched on something they are afraid to fall off ofSally you shared some beautiful chick pics. How do you get them to stand still lol.

I would just very gently pull out on his injured leg, maybe it is a slipped tendon & it will pop back in. Can Tom help you? If you could wrap him in a towel so he can't flap his wings & you covered his eye. If Tom could hold him under his arm with his feet sticking out towards you it would help.Granny go to the dollar store
