granny, if you already have the plexiglass, build a frame for it, that will be smaller than the inside of the molded plastic interior of the fridge. The plexiglass will overhang, and be able to slide into the grooves for the shelf.

the frame will stiffen the plexiglass to help eliminate sagging in the middle. I'd probably make it smaller by at least 1/4" on each side.

Hi Papa, can understand how your feeling. Having a 2 year old is a lot of work. When your ready we will be here. In the mean time try to forgive yourself. Accident & 2 year olds go hand & hand. No matter how hard we try to protect our youngins life happens. When one of my girls was 2 hubby & I were sitting to the table playing Yatzee. She was standing on the chair right next to me. She got over excited with one of our rolls & fell & bumped her brow right above the left eye. We had to take her in to the ER to get stitches. They made us feel like the most horrible parents. And yet we were right there with her. Accidents happen, that's why they are called accidents. Come visit us when you can, but please don't beat yourself up over this.

Papa, Please stop beating yourself up over an accident ..  It happens, to All kids. How we got raised without killing our self was nothing short of a miracle . Kids are tough and bounce right back.  Things are gonna happen, mistakes will be made.  They only made one perfect man and they crucified him.  It will be ok, I promise.

These are very wise words from granny to you Papa! The amount of times Charlie injured himself and the like when he was younger are too long to list. Fell out of my mothers back door and split his head open, blood everywhere He fell out of the carrot trailer too and ended up with a giant egg on his head!! He fell off the sofa too when he was small due to me not paying attention. These things happen and can't be helped, you are not a hawk and don't have eyes in your backside!! I felt terrible guilt over these incidents with Charlie but as my mother said things like this are bound to happen, that's kids for you. Accidents are accidents
