We're perfectly safe here (well except if the "Big One" comes) If we loose power, I have gas stove and a fireplace. Horses are in the barn wearing jammies, chickens are in the barn, thank god all the boarding dogs went home! I have 10 here, all warm and snug in the house or kennel room. My road might wash out, but i have plenty of beer if I can't get out for a couple days.

The coop is closest to the "maintenance shed" which was once a barn and will be again. But I don't want the coop brown to match the barn (which will probably also be painted). We're leveling those monstrous azaleas so the coop can be seen from the road. This isn't my preferred location, but after seeing the shade I think it's going to work out really well.

I agree I love the spot!

Here's a video of Cinder having a belly rub. She loves them! Silly girl. When I go out she jumps up so I can pet her.
