Papa, Please stop beating yourself up over an accident .. It happens, to All kids. How we got raised without killing our self was nothing short of a miracle . Kids are tough and bounce right back. Things are gonna happen, mistakes will be made. They only made one perfect man and they crucified him. It will be ok, I promise.

Papa, ditto what granny said. I am the last one to discourage parents from spending time with their kids, but careful you don't turn into one of those helicopter parents, always hovering around so close, never letting the kid learn things for herself. You can't stop it all anyhow, and it can be a character builder. My 4 yr old son fell flat on his face walking across an open expanse of floor, hit his mouth and bloodied and loosened some teeth! Got bloody ol' fat lips too! He said he was going to make sure that didn't happen again, and it never did! I will spare you the long list of all the accidents that happened on my watch, but be assured that both boys survived and grew into intelligent young men, with most of the recklessness bumped and bruised right out of their systems! They have the scars to prove it!

Enjoy your time with your precious kids. It will fly by all too quickly!
