My washer drum will fills with water when it's not running. Flooded the laundry room twice. So now I have to always keep the door closed, which of course makes it smell. I can't figure out if it's a particular cycle or setting. Unless it drained itself, it didn't happen the two weeks we were gone. It does it empty or with clothes.

It's a front-loading whirlpool, and I think it's 8 years old.

Usually Water valve, hot is usually separate from cold.

Could be gunk in the pressure line or even a bad pressure switch as well

You don't use liquid fabric softener do ya?

Morning y'all. Raining here, but it's supposed to be done pretty early. I don't think I can afford the svart honas right now. Even if I could, I'm at least a month away from having a safe enough place for them to live. Plus I don't know if anyone around here could afford them. 42% of folks in my zip code live beneath the poverty line, so I'd have to rely on traveling or shipping. I'm ready to start building fancy little coops. I've got the most gorgeous ideas in my head. Like doll houses for chickens. And I'm not charging $$$$ like these websites sell their kits for, because that's silly. Just gotta get stuff cleaned up first. I've cooled my heels on hatching, for now. Maybe next month.
