I do know that she used at least some milk while cooking it. HUM maybe try cooking it like risotto ??

I cup of rice to about 10 cups of water will give you a medium consistency porridge. Cook long and low. Add milk after it's off the heat. This is for raw rice, not instant. Make sure you wash your rice! 3 times is best. Gets rid of a lot of the arsenic.

Rice is a staple in our house.... It's on 24 hours a day... It's an Asian thing...

You must have a monster 10 cup cooker!

I'm going to have to get a larger one. The boys can empty my little 2 cup one on the first serving!
