Just wanted to let you all know I am ok and think I may take a nap.

Kisses granny and rest well.

Guess it depends too on if I use the paint or the stain. Too many decisions...

well, I'd read the deck paint label.  you may be able to apply over stain.

prestaining, or painting to me is always a PITB.  paint one side and edges.  wait for dry.  paint other side and touch up edges.  wait to dry.

eats up allot of saw horse space.

camping, is your sideing going to be shiplapped, or board and batten?

DH -hates- painting because it's tedious. I -love- painting because it's quiet, thoughtful work. I'm thinking like this:

I know it's not lapped, because my entryway is lapped. Not sure if it's the board and batten or not.

That's good news granny and you did the right thing saying you can't keep her the extra week. You dont want this dragging its heals and making it harder for you to let her go. Hope it goes well when she comes to collect her :fl

board and batten, is with the planks (boards) in the vertical, and then the seams between the planks covered with another narrow board (batten)
