My pattern is my mom. Yep, she will lead me in the right direction and If I happen to be too busy making her favorite meal it might magically get done.

I have girl friends that have spent tons on money on wedding dresses just to bring them to her to have her fix them. I didnt get that gene.

That's the best. My mom didn't have that gene either, but my grandma sure did. Actually, my mom can make gorgeous things when she does. She just has such bad health that she doesn't enjoy anything, and she doesn't try.

But, I can crochet and needle point, paint and draw... so Im not hopeless.

It is a really calming thing to do.. Enough struggle to keep your brain busy but calm enough to have noise around and then you get a pretty picture at the end.. I have to say crocheting is my favorite though cause I dont have to look at the needles and I count random things anyway.. so counting stitches makes me normal.
