Omg Sally, that is so awesome about the white chick. Dd must be so eggcited. Doing ok today, hubby & I got into it & I'm still pizzed at him.

Has been sunny here until about 15 minutes ago. Hubs is out mowing. I got some winter rye seed I want to get started out there to try and smother some of the weeds, especially the foxtails. And the chickens' yard is mostly bare dirt. They have eaten every little green sprout. I've been letting them into the backyard for a few weeks now. Got 5 eggs today! That's the best day so far. Checked on them last night and thought something got Lola. Black feathers covering the floor under the roosts. Looks like she just had an explosive molt!

And she's one of my younger ones that I was counting on for eggs.

Has anyone talked with Red in the past 2 days? I haven't been on much, but I don't recall reading any post of his for a couple days. Husband has put on a movie, will be back in a bit.

He come on but didnt post. He dont love me any more.

Yep the roof is done, husband decided to be a real azz after saying earlier in the week that he needed to work on the closets downstairs. I told him that was ok because dd said she would help me. He returned from breakfast with his dad in a pizzy mood. Next thing I know he's on the roof scooping snow off. Mind you it was thawing, by the time I got dressed & out there he had already dumped a bunch off the front in front of the door. Of course it was frozen to the ground & a bee-otch to move. I holler up to & ask him what the heck he is doing & why didn't he wait for me to get dressed & out there. He say "well I don't want to be doing this at 2 pm" this of course was at 10 am. I am so tired of being disrespected. He must be struggling with something, definitely still loves his granny. Reds like me, he gets quiet when he's dealing with stuff. If your reading this Red, just know I love you & hope it gets better

Someone has to be on the ground snowblowing or the pile will never move again. He wouldn't have even talked with his dad about it. He was just feeling pizzy because he thought he HAD to help me. I never asked him or ever expected him too because I knew he had stuff that he wanted to get done. I love working on outdoor stuff, so it was not necessary for him to act like an azz & talk to me so disrespectfully.

I very proud of what I can do. I have always done hard physical work or men's work. I like doing it, so I'm ok with doing it.
