They(cackle) also use deleware for a couple of their sex-link breeds, so I am hoping they have heavy (lots of eggs) layers

Sounds good. I like having different colored eggs, but you never know what you'll get with the EEs. I was supposed to have gotten a Delaware with my first batch of chicks 4 years ago. Turns out there was a changeling in the brooder because she was a crazy Leghorn.

I like the different colored eggs but mainly I just how they look and their attitude they amuse all of us at the farm.

Leghorn really wouldn't work up here. In this area if it isn't brown they don't believe its a farm raised/fresh egg.
