I think it could be a fertilty issue

From the quail breeding pen escape/attack/loss.

I havent used my smaller candler on them. Yet.

I did see a few with veins though.

A dollar a chick they should fly

CHEAPEST I seen a day old quail/cot is 75 cents

Usually 2 bux

Chickens usually 2-8 bux

Hi Tippylou!! and the rest of my friends!

Been busy but just had to check back in with everyone. Bitter cold here now temps barely getting above zero (normal for us this time of year) but my spoiled rotten chooks are spending their time lounging around in the greenhouse where the temps stay around 80o if the sun's shining, snacking on kale leaves and having dustbathing parties by making a mess of my greenhouse floor.

Sad news. My sweet little rescue kitty that had lived with us for over 9 years lost her fight with feline lymphoma. We had done all we could except the chemo drugs. Just couldn't see the point of going thru the outrageous expense and putting her thru it since there's no cure and would only delay the end. It got to the point we could no longer control the vomiting and she really wasn't enjoying life anymore. We were forced to do the loving thing, the hard thing, the right thing. I'm still not used to waking up yet without her tapping me gently on the face. I still catch myself listening to hear if she's alright. Who's going to keep me company in the spring as I work in the herb garden now?

I always struggle when an animal has to be put down.

But we do the right thing

Maybe you need some more chickens or even ducks, ducks are GREAT for gardens!
