I know I'm forgetting to comment on something, but my brains still frozen along with my legs. Toes have finally defrosted

Thank you Lisa, The kids will be happy to come home and destroy it after school.

I got my seeds to try out. I bought a seeled UV grow light at the second hand shop a few months ago.. So tomorrow I will hang it up and get my seeds started. I have zuchinni, yellow squash and kale seeds. Think I am going to start them in egg trays.

Oh I remember now, candle the other 3 Icelandic eggs under a newbie Silkie, her & Dot the Dingbat fought over those eggs for days. Every time I would go out there they both would be in the same nest & one time 2 of the eggs were pushed to the side & cold. Candled them today & the 2 had no veins (got too cold I suspect) but the 3rd is fertile. Only problem, have never seen this with an egg under a hen. Is that she must just be sitting, not turning. The egg was split in half length wise, the embryo was to the left side & just fluid to the right side. I'm guessing there probably isn't much hope for that one either.

Tomorrow I start my adventure of trying to teach myself a tiny bit of vegetable gardening. Gonna hang my grow light and plant some seeds. Never have done this before, but I have to learn at some point. Keeping it small. Only doing zuchinis, yellow squash and Kale. Im excited to learn.

Give it time. I had a few I thought were questionable like that and they still made it. FINGERS CROSSED!!

How well do the Icelandics lay? Can you show us pictures of your trio again? Pretty please?
Please excuse the mess the black one is in. She is very favored by the roo so the top of her head is bare right now. Plus it looks like she got below someone under the roost & got pooped on.
