I've thought about it, granny. I kept saying I would do it in the fall for the winter. It's hard to remember that we're still having winter. :/

Sometimes they would sleep in the run, so I think they'll get used to it. I might need to go ahead and make shutters, though.

Was going to suggest that, I'm not that crafty tho, I have a ton of feed bags saved. I also use them for tarps, have some on a hoop coop like shingles. Currently using a few for recycling, since they arent as flimsy as plastic bags.

I'm too lazy to pluck em, plus the skin is sooo much thinner than a chicken.

I basically cut off the head, then legs and wingtip.
Rip/cut out spine, and split em in half.

How dare you do that to an animal? I buy my food at the grocery store where they manufacture meat.
Peta would love this site. Its good to know that there's still people in this world that understands that God put animals here for us to eat. And work.

camping, I am looking for a way to reuse my feed sacks . Wonder how that would be in your coop stapled to the inside walls ? goats would probably eat them but maybe a corner for the chickens to block some wind ?
