Tell me the truth, just how bad is the smell? How far would you want them from your house, in summer, with windows open?

well, I have been 2 yrs. reading this one. LOL sorry to hold you up. very nice.

Twist, If you dug a pond would it be frozen 9 months ut of the yr ? what kind of dirt do you have ?
clay and sand and it would work unless you crack/break the clay part then all the water would drain away. I think it would only be frozen for about 5 months depending on the winter. The "seasonal" creek that I have is enough water for me. There are a few spots that are pretty deep and hold water most years and thought the year. I think I also have a couple very tiny natural springs.

ohh for ducks ?   It looks big . How did you sink post next to them tree roots ?

No worries, it's well over 1k gallons. And I got lucky with that post. It's still not down as far as I'd like but made up for that with the amount of concrete around it. 2 years is a good amount of chatting. :) and alot of new friends I'm sure.

Good question, I talked to my boss a bit last year about a private supplier, prices never came up. Any restrauant worth their spit should jump at an opportunity to get something locally farmed, I love the summers here, farmers market is a block from our back dock.

Its actually not smelly
I keep plenty of fresh bedding and when I rotate it is just mulch plants with the refuse.

The broilers were smelly though
Real nasty birds, unless you have lots of room for them to range which I dont. I didn't count the 4 broilers that are left,Lmao

The quail can be kinda smelly but their hutch is up off the ground and when I let the chickens out they clean up any feed or droppings

wishing, yes, chicken boy. He says his eye hurts ? I dont remember that hurting but its been many yrs. LOL

Twist, A creek will work as long as I can plant it ? ferns, hostas... LOL

Attimus, No friends here . all family.

Happy Thursday!

Still feeling worn out and tummy is randomly grumpy but at least the cough/sneezy part is subsiding! Yay!

And I had it in me to go to the grocery store after work yesterday so got some crackers and other easy tummy snacks. Yay.

Today may just be a bunch more napping though. I still adore y'all I'm sorry I've been missing so much!!!
