The barred ones with the red are your roosters. I see a pullet in the background of that picture. The browner looking one.

How is your husband doing? My Mike has been better than usual this week, since the humidity has been lower. We grilled chicken last week!

i probably have about half and half then.i am glad your husband is doing well. mine, not so much. he sleeps most the time now. never got the swelling down. dr. said , and its all from low blood pressure, he is having strokes and seizures. the brain trying to say, get that blood back up here. we are waiting on some test results from heart dr. to see if anything can be done. he already had a major stroke 16 yrs. ago. he was supposed to be a vegetable. i always call him my tomato head.

. hopefully we will hear some good news soon.

Mike is better than usual. Grilling was extremely exhausting. He is now on oxygen all of the time. He sleeps all day is awake in the evenings while I am home from work. Then sleeps all night. I am greatful for every day with him.

enola, if you told me, i have forgotten what is wrong with your husband. i am sorry. my memory is very bad. tom is on oxygen now all the time. its a pain in the behind. and can he grill with it on?

i did get him out of the house for a few today. went yard sale. he said pull over so i did and he peed right in the middle of the road !!!! well, on the side but still,,,, wouldnt it be nice?

I guess I should have said "we"grill. He tells me how to do all of the necessary steps. He loves to grill, it is the only time he gets to boss me around! :)

Every time we go to town, when we get home the first thing he does is pee in the driveway. Everytime he does this he tells me how happy he is that we live in the country.

Mike has COPD, that is the reason for oxygen.

Hi Granny, Glad things are going better with the chickens. Hope your husband starts doing better. Is he having mini strokes and do they know what is causing the seizures?

Hi Lularat !! yes, they are both caused from his blood pressure going to low when he stands up. he will get a blank stare and try to speak but the words are jumbled and then his leg will start stomping really hard and i catch him and lower him to the ground/chair where ever he may be. had a couple falls. his good wrist is probable broken. he cant use it anyway. he is on meds to raise his bp. so the dr. says he is not getting enough blood to his brain when he stands and its the brains way of telling the blood to "get back up here". because he was in a-fib he needs heart meds for that and because he is sooo full of water he has to take meds for that and its dropping the bp. he is still full of water but his body just cant handle what he needs. i dont know prognoses or if it can get better/worse. one day at a time i guess.

Sorry that he is having such a hard time. It seems as if they try to fix one problem, it creates another. Hope things start looking up for him and take care of yourself. I know what a strain it can be for a caretaker. You always put your own health on a back burner when there is so much to do for others.
