She had some pain for about 2 days. She had to stay in the crate to keep her activity down. They told me there was only one puppy, which she probably would not have been able to deliver without surgery. They thought since she was so small the pupoy would have caused her a lot of misery. They tried to call me but I was at work. It cist me $70+ dollars for the surgery and all of her vaccinations. Not too bad......

thanks, it must a been a while back. vet here wanted 125 i think. i have forgotten . the clinic i took her to was 75 for spay and rabies then it will be 15 for meds. no other shots. they said she is a yr. old . this is second time and she had 9 the first time.

i feel terrible. i took my new dog to the vet when i first got her for ear infection and they said she was not pregnant, took her for spay today and she was. they spayed her , then called me. they said it was a bad spay because they had to open her bigger and would need pain meds. when she comes home tomorrow. i am not saying i wouldnt of had it done anyway but i am glad the decision didnt come back to me. i will have to crate her at night because they said no activity for a week and she cant jump on the bed. take her out on lease so she dont run around. she is such a bed hog. not happy unless she is almost laying on me somewhere. bet she cries all night. has anyone went through this type of spay before? any tips would be helpful. nervous mama. wait, did i just call myself a .....? LOL

No, I don't think so. I think you called yourself a dog Mama. That's all. LOL

ya i did. LOL i didnt sleep all night ! every time i have something to do with a set time to be there i just cant sleep ! drs., dog, ect.... takes Einstein to figure out the alarm clocks. i miss my old wind up. the sound even was soothing to sleep by.and the alarm sure would wake you, (warning, dont use this type of alarm if you have heart problems) how is it possible if i go to bed at 10pm and dont have to be somewhere until noon the next day, that i am afraid i will over sleep?

my husband has a big nasty place on his leg, it dont look good at all. dr. called in more antibiotics so he is on 2 kinds now. they told me to draw on his leg around the place and if it gets bigger to bring him in. i told nurse that if he doesnt get some help i am going to lose him. she said yes, he is going down hill fast. that is not what i wanted to hear. the only time i dont want someone to agree with me. his legs are crying again.

I don't know. I am 60 and I am still slowly discovering things about myself. I am still having problems with: If I can't sleep, there's something wrong or I forgot to do something. That something usually ends up being a disaster for one of my animals if I don't go try to figure out what needed to be done.

Sorry about your husband, hope he is doing a little better by now. What happened to his leg?

My MIL had weepy legs, it was all the meds they were giving her. She was living with my SIL and I told them they need to take her off ALL meds and start over. They didn't.

Sorry things aren't going well with your husband. Is the area on his leg an ulcer. They are caused by decreased circulation or can be poor heart function and the fluid in his legs doesn't help...makes it hard to heal. My mother had episodes of congestive heart failure and also poor venous return,,,,both causes leg edema. The only way they could get them to heal is send her to a wound clinic, where they wrapped her legs to decrease the fluid. She had home health to change the dressings several times a week and after some time the ulcers would heal, but the dressings never came off. If they fail to heal, you may want to suggest a wound clinic, if you leave close to one. How is his appetite? Hope things start to look up. You two could use a break.

he has a lot of blisters on his legs but this looks like a pus filled blister. i think one must of opened and became infected. he wore the dressings for a while . we do have a wound clinic in batesville. took my mom there. its not bad. it is the size of a quarter and the redness about the size of a teacup around it. i got the test results back for his heart monitor and they are not that bad. the dr. changed his meds. and the dizzy is about gone. i looked up ALL his meds today and i have a culprit. Lryica, swelling, joint pain, sleeping . it is also a seizure med. it cant be just stopped so i am starting a wean and we will see what happens. i hope i am right on this.

. i have bad memory, i was looking through some old paper work and found where he had been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure 15 yrs. ago. so his dr. knows nothing of this but, his blood work hasnt shown anything off
