Yes, actually there is ! I need some thoughts on a digital thermostat Camping has. $16.00 I wonder how you know or if it makes a difference the size of the bator ? Can I make an suggestion... And you can leave it or take it, I think a lot of the hatching issue will be prevented by having a way to add water to your bator without opening the door. Each time you open the door everything takes a severe drop. Just a thought though.. I'm not an expert.

@enola Did I thank you for all the help and info you gave me ?

I played tug a ar with the first chick that hatched today. He is biting me too. He is the same one that jumped out of an 8in. basket and into another to be with the other chick that hatched. . I warmed a paper towel wet, and went in there to wipe a little gunk off and he was determined he was going to own the towel. Pretty strong too ! Very cute to watch but he is a mean one.

true that . I didnt open but once to help a chick that was stuck. I thought to myself had I opened it more they may not of drown, LOL Bet I can think to do is a dry hatch til lockdown then use what I was using for incubation (a small sponge) for the hatch. If I had a different bator just for lockdown , no turner or fan needed It might go way better.

Sally, now that you are back..... Do you think most of Granny's incubator problems would be helped by getting the temperature correct resulting in the chicks hatching on day 21???

I also think running a low level of humidity until lockdown would help. More like dry hatch......
