Good gravy I wish!!!!!!! Oh I miss the Alberta days of more affordable beef....it's such a trade off down here. Chicken is a lot cheaper but beef is more expensive. Sigh. I'm dancing a jig if I can get the lean ground beef for shy of $5/lb

Great idea with the York/granny HAL, I'm in so get those eggs set granny :highfive:

As you say just enough to hand turn if you don't think your turner is working is right. Run with no water for a week and candle to see what your air cells look like. When you locked the last batch down you said your air cells were too small so that means not enough moisture had been lost. Too small an air cell and the chick may not pip safely. I think you have built an excellent bator that just keeps the humidity very well indeed!!

It you set them today we will have the York/ granny Hal!!!

:woot

GS wants to do the polish eggs today. I dont look for them to even be fertile but we will see in a few days I guess.

:highfive:

Throw in a few of your other eggs too. Maybe only do a dozen. In the area the first two were from.

Good idea!!

Her incubator never fails . It is top of the line .   I dont know about shipped eggs but wont surprise me if she has 100%

Won't be 100%, shipped eggs are usually at 50% or less rate. Some of these eggs look a little porous too.

I know. I was looking at it. That would be nice.. I don't hatch enough to spend the money...

It's worth it for stress levels. Hatch more!

Think I might hand turn .

I think that would be better :D

It's out. And another pipped.

:celebrate

first time was too small, this time was just a hair too small. I gave it more vents from the first time. thinking the moisture couldnt escape. LOL
I will get them in today. Or GS will anyway. LOL

Camping, it still has its little umbilical attached and stretched across its back. So cute !
