Nothing. They've all been totally clean.I noticed that. Not even a poo in there ?
LOL York, He said he would be very happy to be your hatch partner. He said he will be back next week in time for a candle and then the following wednesday he has spring break. He seems excited . LOL
I think it's like little dog syndrome - the smaller they are the more noise they think they need to make. The neighbor on the backside of our property has a little roo that engages in regular crowing contests with my big boy and that little sucker is LOUD!Granny. I would keep them all if I could teach them not to crow. I thought being smaller would mean they were a bit quieter. Not mine. Tiny little feather dusters can raise the dead.
No, not yet, but he's eating the chicken noodle soup. He slept a huge amount.. But now he's up.
Yep - most bantams end up in a "mixed bantam" bin at retailers so you have to know what you're looking for and really look for it to pick out the jewels in the mix, but you can make some real finds that way.does your tsc have them? they didn't have them labeled..i wasn't sure what i had till i got home..
WooHoo!!!!
Before we signed the lease we asked if he'd be cool with it. He said hens only (but kinda relented when noodlehead turned out to be a roo)
I just looked. 2,362 miles. 34 hours drive time. Would take me 5 days.
Yay - can't wait to follow along!
34 hours you say? Could do it in three...(I am insane on solo road trips. When I'm not driving, however...I meet that "are we there yet" threshold a whole lot earlier!)
Morning all.
Naughty chickens! It's almost time to curb our flock's wandering too as their favorite place to wander to is the neighbor's garden plot. He actually likes them going over after the harvest and until the next planting because they do a great job of mixing things around and fertilize in the process, but once he's ready to plant the chickens stop being so cute. We have a donk down the road from us - Willie Nelson - and I love hearing him but yes, they can get quite loud!Aww.
A friend posted on my wall about some mini donkeys needing forever homes.
...I think my landlord would kill me. He's cool with the chickens. (It helps that his wife confessed she likes watching them when they free range lol yay wife on my side! Though their free Ranging days will be soon coming to an end....they're doing garden damage) but mini donkeys may be mini but they are loud (neighbor has one)![]()
That was my/DD's favorite -- she was different from the day we got them and we always have a soft spot for the odd balls........I'm thinking she'll grow up to look a lot like our Aeryn (2 y/o EE) - lots of orange and grey/blue, I'll see if I can get a pic of her later but she's neurotic so it's hard to get good pics of herand the EEs. I want to end up with a colorful polish looking that lay colored eggs. The chicks I got from Mare, there is one that is very pretty. or will be in a couple more weeks. she reminds me of a lemon barred .
I'm wondering if it's just the eggs themselves.. Are they from the flock that was sick?
Have you cracked any to check and see if they are fertile? I would crack the older ones since they are the least likely to do well in the incubator anyway and you can have a better idea if there is any chance they fresher ones are going to do anything.GS wants to do the polish eggs today. I dont look for them to even be fertile but we will see in a few days I guess.
