Kathys on !!!!  :weee    @casportpony
can you tube a baby ?

Enolas On !!!!      :hugs same question ?

Granny, I don't baby my chicks. They hatched on their own, they went in the brooder in the laundry room for three days, then they went to the big brooder in the barn. I don't teach them to eat and drink, they either thrive on their own or they die. . . .

Yep, I am heartless, I know it.

A lot of people have an idea of the Amish that is very off base. Some of the worst puppy mills that have been shut down are on Amish farms. I have been to horse sales where Amish brought horses to sell. They really do "know" horseflesh, but they do not appreciate/respect their horses. I have seen them bring horses that have been worked until couldn't be used any more. Lame, headshy, open wounds or sores from harness and equipment accidents. To them animals are just on earth to be used until there is nothing left to use. The young boys are very good horsemen. But, one day I saw a young guy was not getting his horse to do his best in the sales ring, when the boy brought the horse out of the ring the Amish father pulled him off the horse and slapped/punched the kid around, yelling at him in German. Nobody even bothered to stop him, I was furious! Some man said, "just best to leave them to their own ways......"

I would not thrive as an Amish wife, I do not intend to ask any man in my life for permission to do anything. And it will be a cold day in hell before I would slave over a wood burning or gas stove to can unlimited amounts of fruits and vegetables for the winter, dressed like those women are forced to dress!!!

It is no wonder there are Amish kids leaving the family farm in droves.
