Mornings, Hope everyone is well today. No sleep here. Too tired I suspect. 2nd splay chick is in the same spot he was last night. when It gets day light out I will take him and put him down. I should of done it days ago but you hold on to hope. I dont have a problem doing it just wanted to make sure its the right thing to do.
@Sally Sunshine Some advise please ? the egg the duck was sitting and I took about half the top of. The chick/membrane has covered that hole and just to the edge of it I do see a tiny blood spot where I assume it made its internal pip. Not as active now . I hear very loud chirping but could also be from the other egg as it is viable too. So, air cell is filled up , it has internally pipped, very active yesterday rocking that shell. membrane white , If the little blood spot is its pip then its too high up on the shell unless the "draw down" moves the chick to do an external pip farther down ? question, Should I help ?
oh no, did it not absorb yolk?Morning Sally !! Its too late for the splay chick. I fixed the leg issue . its a failure to thrive chick on its way out.
I will take that tea cup though ! beautiful.![]()
all I see is a spot of dried blood where I will assume it did the internal pip and that was yesterday/last night. I just wonder since it has covered the hole I made if it can still get air. thank you for the links .
