Very cool, camping!!

The winds are still kicking... The rain not so much. Not sure how long this is suppose to last. I wonder if it's hitting attimus, wishing and mutt? Hope all you guys stay dry.
The big storm that came in last night missed us by about 10 miles north, where it's been dumping steadily and they are preparing for the Russian River to flood. Started raining here this morning, just in time when kids get off to school. Not too bad here, no wind, and we still need the rain. Hope Mutt is ok. I haven't seen the news this morning. Southern California is really prone to those flash floods, but they don't happen often enough for people to remember how dangerous they are. Short memories.
Glad you are feeling better today.

On second thought, it's a good excuse to keep chocolate in the house at all times!

I'm here too with an SOS for my frizzle hen, anyone with ideas would be much appreciated ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/1086741/strange-head-movement-from-polish-hen-video-included/0_30
York, sorry about your hen. Maybe injury to her head/brain, the vaulted skull problem? If that's so, just quiet and supportive care until the swelling goes down. Then you can see if there's permanent damage. Was it other Polish that you think attacked her, or another breed?

The new coop is NOT weatherprroof.

Oh noooo! Is it the roof or coming in from the sides? Neither of mine are without drips, so there's always a tarp or board or something on top.
The Honas look very happy in the coffin coop. All that green in his feathers must be beautiful in the sun! I kind of like the silver hackles on the other male you showed.

Thanks Wishing :hugs

Yes other polish and a polish cross frizzle. The 3 pullets will have been the main instigators but to be quite honest they all have pushed her around and picked on her. She's such a quiet, timid little hen so she's an easy target.

Hi Tippy! That was a new Simon's Cat for me. We love those. The Dear Kitten one was cute too. The laser light bit was funny. Hubs was playing red light with MIng on her cat tree last night, and she got in such a frenzy, she fell off!

Hi wishing! :frow

The hay bales were damp and there was a puddle in one of the folding chairs. Hay was wet in 2/3 of the goat coop, but their little shelter was still dry. The chicken hay was 100% wet, but theirs is on the south so I'm sure it was blowing in from three sides. But by 10 they'd given me 4 eggs, so I guess they weren't that upset. The feed was still dry, also. I have a lot of little finishing projects to do over there, now. There's poop in lots of inconvenient places. :barnie

Oh man! Wet hay is not good. It is very expensive here too, so that would be an extra bummer. I have shade cloth attached to the sides of the runs to help keep out the worst of the rain when the wind is blowing. It lets the air in pretty well, though. My neighbor does plastering, so shade cloth was used, and a bit dirty, but free! I just unhook it from the bottom and roll it up to the top when the rainy season is over.

Poop happens!

Wishing for 7 super inky pullet chicks on Saturday. Good thing you got them out in the bigger coop! Just in time.

Good morning all

So Eye exam results.    no cataracks, or glaucoma   eyes, vessels and what not PERFECT   I just have a stigmatism in both eyes and need reading glasses.  So NOW  do I spend 400.00 plus for prescription glasses or just but a pair of cheap cheaters from walmart ???

Sherry was over yesterday and we marathoned watched the Carol Burnett show    OMG  so good  got thru 2 dvd's  lots more to to.  :celebrate

My Bug  is becoming big and ugly.   Cottons stuffed brain case ,  coughing my innards out  and only 3 hours of sleep as Angie was gone this am.   I didn't dare self-medicate with Nyquil  last night going to chug a bunch tonight tho.

Oh and all caught up here.   Now I am off to "zone" in chair.    TTFN
love that show. Hope you feel better soon twist.

Let me see how these culls grow out, Red. If the color isn't too bad I could send you chicks when I get my NPIP. The breeder had one who grew in silver hackles, just gorgeous.

Is that a tacky offer? It'd save me from having to eat them and you could still have a pretty chicken.

Edit to add a pic from google:
400
omg camping I'd gladly accept that offer. Let me know how much. They are beautiful. I've never seen one around here or anywhere.
