Birthday was fine, we didn't do anything. Not even wrapped presents. I gave him $5 to spend at TSC, he picked a set of 6 trucks for $3.50 clearanced. Then we went to dollar tree. He helped me bake a little cake last night, and that was it. DH took him to the monster truck rally at the end of last month, so that was his big birthday gift. I have him some trains that I got on sale about six months ago, but I can't put my hands on them.

He's laid back and didn't care. I feel bad, though. We should've had a party.

the time and attention was the party ! he got cake, toys, and a toy hunt ? kids love that.

Thanks. I'm not worried about him. It'll be better next year when he's in school and we can invite his classmates. Right now only the summer staff show up, so a bunch of 20-somethings running around Chuck E. Cheese.
