this is thomas my chicken guard cat sitting on the nest box lid he has started to hang around with the girls
really odd he will fight any dog but he seems to love the girls i have to boot him out of their house

found him in a skip with 5 others they where dead lucky i heard him he had no fur
took him home

no he really gets on well with them i would worry if they were very young but they mobbed him
when they first met i sat on my bench the other day having a brew and some scran
next min i had 7 hens and 1 cat begging for some ham

what happened to your quail Linda ?

I went out to feed and clean that cage, started puking. ducks and all but 2 of the chickens are in the main coop. If they die I know that they had the time of their life out there in the mud. I kept an EE and SS in with the tolbunt roo w/ the messed up legs. He seems pleased to have them. None of the are fighting.

It is kind of a horrible story... I candled yesterday and tossed all the quail eggs I deemed bad yesterday. Jack comes on and tells me not to toss them after the fact then Aart said the same so I dug them out and put them back.. Guilt does crazy things. As I was turning them one of them popped in my hand... All gooey. It was gross.
