I bought the thornless blackberrys a few yrs back. the black fruit is so sweet ! I dug them up because I had planted them where the dogs potty and they fell apart into 15 plants I replanted and still came back up . last summer I was out there picking them and ate a couple then decided I better go wash them. ants came out. Pretty gross bus still so good ! Thinking they were safe I ate a couple more then seen more ants in the bowl! where are these things hiding ? I let them soak in water 2xs and still more ants. I gave them to the chickens and stopped eating them anymore which sucks because they really are good.

hhaha I wonder how many I ate..

well, I have 9 plants I wont be using they could be separated again too. (some died) accidentally, by the lawn mower.

I've eaten morel mushrooms one time in my life. We found them wild when we were hiking in a state park. :hide Anyway, we soaked them first and there were SO MANY things in there!

I eat all sorts of things from the garden. I'm not afraid of a few bugs. :D

hmm, they grow here good I have had them. very good woodsy flavor . I was told to soak them /wash in salt water. Wonder if that would work for ants ?

I've got the wild kind in spades. EXTREMELY thorny, so not good for the campers. They pop up through the sand in the back yard no matter how many times I chop them down or pull them up. Think that will help or hinder? Or doesn't mean anything?
I would keep an eye an it. I folier spray pretty much everything when I have time during the summer, something to consider if you have both varieties within proximity of each other.
