Twist are you feeding all these mice to your chickens?

No why because I don't get out there often enough and Robert is on 3 weeks no walking on his foot . So they would really start to stink. I REFUSE to freeze or refridgerate dead mice.

These are all getting flushed can't wait to see my water bill at the end of the month

Also I have decon bait stations set up and was worried about poison carry over to the chickens.

We are already looking!!!!

We live on a hill, so I got the brainy idea that I would count the houses I could see from the windows.......

Then, I realized that I could see another hill on the other side of the road that is also covered with houses.......

I stopped counting, it is too depressing! Fortunately, walking the dogs on leashes happens to be a favorite past time of my GS. The dogs love it, too. So even walking around the blocks and blocks of houses is fun.

Wow! You must be fighting off super mice! Megan and moved into a trailer right after she came to live with me after my divorce. The trailer had not been lived in for about 10 years, so you know how decrepit it was. We moved in in the fall. The mice moved in right after we did. The invasion was so bad that I didn't have to feed my Australian shepherd for a month, she was catching them and eating them. The only way to keep them out of the food was to keep ALL food in the refrigerator. I trapped and trapped and trapped! Then suddenly they just stopped!

Then spring came, the commercial chicken house behind us cleaned out the hens...... this time we were invaded by rats...... a THAT was s nightmare!

:frow Hatch update!!

7 have made it to lockdown and are looking good :yiipchick
Only thing is they are not in cartons as planned :barnie They won't fit in when I put the lid on, top of the egg is touching the fan guard if I do so I have had to lay them down :( Thankfully the funky air cells seems to have rightened themselves so :fl they hatch ok.

Oh crumbs nearly forgot :th The polish got candied too and 15/16 are coming on fantastic :D Just one clear egg :bun

Having two boys, I was surprised how hormonal they get at certain times in their lives. 10-11 was a tough age for my guys. My 14 yr old spends most of his spare time sleeping, so there isn't much fuss going on. They don't dare talk back to their dad. Too scared of ME!

hahaaahahaa!

I was really taken aback by the hormonal teen thing with a boy -- I grew up in an all girl household and my oldest child is DD -- so imagine my surprise to get to the teen years with DS and BAM! I swear, DD was my easy kid - everyone talks about how hormonal and emotional girls are, no one warned me about boys!

Charlie has been the same from about 11, we are on the third year of it now :(

If I see rats I am out of here.
15tolbuts York ?  :celebrate

I'm not a rat fan, some have the cheek to come out during the day!! If they do they get some lead up their backside!!

Yeah 15 of them are looking great :D It's made my day after the last lot of eggs that were so poor on the first candling.
Have you pit your humidity up yet?

I have not. BUT, It acts like it wants to rain here and humidity is up in the bator on its own. I keep drowning them and I dont want to get it high.
