I know how you feel. We put our silkie, q-tip out with his adopted babies and we miss him crowing at pearl every time she entered the room.

they are locked in the coop.i keep waiting for them to look at everything and go in the little house.it was a coop to begin with but too little to really use so i found a use for it,,has a next box in it too..I did. still do. did you fasten them up in their house for the night
I do have to say though I think he's happier out there with his babies then in here with them. We just spoiled him to death. He wouldn't crow at me but I swear every time pearl was in his sight, he'd let out his sweet little crow. I think pearl would rather me sleep in the coop and let him have my side of the bed lol.I still worry lol. I miss him laying on his blanket beside me during our nap time.
