Yes. That was Freckle. She's gone now.

Really good layer and a sweet calm bird.

She was labeled a Golden Sexlink, so probably from a different hatchery than the Comets.



You don't need to block off your rafters if you put up a roost for them. You need a long 2x4 and some wood block scraps. One end of the roost could be attached to the top of the nest boxes, other end attached to the wall. Nail a block of wood to the wall and set the other end of the 2x4 on it, and nail in place. easy peasy Messing with the rafters is too much trouble.

im have been trying to think of where to put it. double doors run opposite the rafters and the nest box. so I cant go straight across. more nest box on one wall with window. I think I will need to clean the whole coop out to make more roosts or I am over thinking it. Its still raining or I would get more pics.
