Ok confession time , I have nothing but RIRs they are production birds I ordered from my pet chicken as peeps to me they are food . About two months ago as I gathered eggs I was suprised to find a green egg. I really didn't know what if anything would cause this so I looked to folks on here for answers . I kept it quiet and only asked questions in pm . I followed the advice , looked for different colored legs on my birds I got close to 200 birds so it was no small feat. Nothing!!! And then no green eggs I figured I was being played . But I kept it quiet and acted like nothing was going on then a second egg magically appeared. I made sure my coops were locked and stayed locked I figured it was one of my friends pulling my chain. Then over a month passed and yesterday not one egg but 2 eggs kinda olive green I had cameras up but no photos . Some I did some investigating turns out I was being played by ....... MY WIFE AND MY MOM !!!!!! I really didn't know they had it in them lol so the joke was on me .....

Longggg day.... Started with the boy 3 puking all day and scrubbing mess... Finally got him settled. Mil came over... Cops and sheriffs on every corner and patrolling our culdesac... Was outside Bbqing when one pulled up and told us of a runner in the neighborhood... Said he jump the chain link fence that shares our house and three others to the schools. She left giving us a photo of him. Never said what he did but speculation is that he was the tweeker that was squatting in a house and set it on fire last week... Cop talked to me in front of boy 4 so now he's scared to sleep. Don't know if they caught him or what... It was just weird. Then someone's cat got chased up in our tree by our dogs in the back yard. Had to drag the dogs in and climb a ladder to coax the cat down and out of our yard so it wouldn't get mauled.... Not feeling great. Long day. Ready for a fresh start.

I hope tomorrow is better for you.

We have a couple of escaped prisoners round us. Was on the news that they escaped out of an open prison, said don't approach them as they are dangerous. If they are dangerous why the bleep are they in an open prison? Can't get my head round that one!!

Heard about this one on the news! Scary. Glad you have the dogs. I don't think I'd ever feel secure without a dog. Not because they will attack or anything, but the warning... I count on that. Very comforting and lets me sleep. That and a baseball bat by my bed. That's comforting too. Dogs and bats. Not going down without a fight.

Hope your sick kiddo is better soon (too much excitement on your trip?) And hope you get some rest tonight.
