I've narrowed it down to

Rat
Raccoon
Possum

Because I know there are rats in the barn big enough to tip a feed sack, same with possum or raccoon.

you should have your fed in a can they cant get to. I think maybe the chickens were raising cain because the bag fell over. One coop will cause the other coop to let out the alarm. They wouldnt be afraid of a rat I dont think so my guess is coon.

If I wait for the weekend of May the 20th that Friday starts 9 days of racing or race related stuff in Charlotte I'm thinking of taking her to that ,it ain't a cruise but wee would stay down there almost 2 weeks or come and go at leisure I've already got somebody to watch the animals while I'm gone

Let me know if you do. Maybe we could meet?

wow Linda, must be great to be a criminal in your hood.  A no pursuit policy ?
that's it. I can Rob a bank in your hood. Even I could get away if they can't Chase.

Something was in my coop.

Didn't see the honas so I went out. As soon as I open the door I realize EVERY chicken is hollering. The honas are all huddled in the far corner of the coffin coop. All the chickens are still hollering. I got to the new coop: goats are bedded down. Chickens are roosted but hollering. Feed is spilled in the breezeway. I check the pasture: nothing. Check the coop: nothing. But feed is EVERYWHERE inside the coop, deep divets in the feed tray and it's piled an inch deep around the feeder.

First thought was goats, but they were bedded and even in the feeder the chickens wouldn't holler like that.

So what would go after feed but not birds?
Or maybe it was the goats in the feeder, but something else spilled the feed in the breezeway...
just a thought. Could the chickens being scared spilled the feed running from a snake.

They weren't acting scared when I got to them. All just roosted and staring at me. The feed was in the breezeway, nothing inside the coop or pasture has access to that when the door is locked. And it was. It was near the wall and beside a hay bale, so it wouldn't have just fallen over.

All the feed will be in bins eventually. I just have to get space cleared in the barn.

I am sleepy and dont want to go to bed. LOL My bathroom still full of those asian beetles and Now I am seeing spiders !

They have come of course to eat the beetles. What eats spiders ? Just need to know what to expect next.

Tippy, We have never seen a picture of you. Are you shy like Wishing ? Had to about pull her teeth to get one. LOL

I don't know either. The bottom perch is at least 2 ft off the ground. Top of the nests is close to 4. I need cameras. :/

Video baby monitor is cheaper if you are awake.
