wishing, she is either 6 or 9 months and Im guessing 9 as she is pulling herself up to walk. they took her at birth.

Well if they are going to get her back, it needs to be done now. I hate those stories of kids who are adopted and then the birth parents get the kid back when they are old enough to understand the difference. Nobody wins. If they do an open adoption, the she can find them when she's older. I'm with Jane, whatever is best for the baby girl.

she started a go fund me . looking for something besides a court appt. lawyer . the drugs she was on was Dr. ordered. But for the grace of God..... DD was in the same shape , different state.

Sorry it's all crappy for your sister granny but I've been there with my own family and what's best for the baby is the most important thing in all of it. It is so heart breaking for the adults and I do know that but there is the bigger picture to look at in the end.

Not one person responded because we all know if the state has your kid your auto-guilty right ? We like to think the worse of people . In this case it may be true but I dont know. One thing I do know, I just cant. I know now why she has been calling and I cant.

It wouldnt be fair to the baby.

No you can't granny, your situation now is the exact same one we were in and put in. We couldn't and as much as it broke my heart I know now we made the right one. It's a terrible position to be put in, heart and head fighting each other.

perhaps she could sue for grandparents rights . I dont know if that is different from state to state or not. I will tell her about that. I had forgotten.
You guys all know me pretty well, does the first one of you think I am able to raise a baby ?
