False labor.

Not really. they have been called false labor for many years but its the bodys way of preparing for the real thing. In humans up to 3 weeks before the onset of regular contractions. There should also be a mucus plug and a little show one to 2 days before real labor.

I've never seen it but I've heard of some deer actually having three. I really can't see that though.
